DIABETES EPIDEMIC

As much as two thirds of the western world is overweight. Many of them have diabetes and have a multitude of problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart or kidney disease. If you are a smoker add lung disease to your health concerns.

People have been told for many years, do not to eat too much sugar or refined carbohydrates. Everywhere you look in the list of ingredients, there is sugar and salt included.

Many of the ingredients promote chronic disease and we do nothing about it.

WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, IF WE WANT TO……………..

Some governments even subsidies their sugar industry and some companies that have lots of sugar in products subsidize their local Diabetic associations, talk about the fox in the hen house.

Excess sugar and refined carbohydrates leads to diabetes, simply because of the excess weight.

DIABETES IS NOT GENETIC, obesity might be genetic because of what crap mother put on your dinner plate, maybe, she was uneducated about what is good, and what is not

Let's look at sugars, look for OSE in the word and you will find that it means sugar. So much of this information says that it is good for you but in the next sentence it says that recent studies say it can lead to obesity and can raise blood sugar levels quickly. Below I will use the word table sugar, most people know what table sugar is.
  • Brown Sugar is table sugar mixed with molasses
  • Caramel is obtained by heating table sugar and removing any liquid from it.
  • Castor sugar is very fine Table sugar- super fine in USA
  • Corn Sweetener made from corn/Maize
  • DextrOSE can come from Maize/corn, rice, wheat, potato, cassava, arrowroot or sago.
  • FructOSE comes from fruit and vegetables, was thought to be good once, but not in large quantities
  • GlaactrOSE/GlactrOSE is found in dairy products and sugar beet
  • GlucOSE is found in plants such as grapes and honey
  • Gul- djawa is partially refined sugar from Indonesia
  • GUR or Jaggery is partially refined sugar from India
  • HFCS High Fruit Corn Syrup sometimes called Maize syrup, often used in soft drinks and is used because  it is cheaper than table sugar
  • Honey- bees collect this from flowers
  • Icing sugar/Powered sugar/Confectioner's sugar is finely ground table sugar sometimes mixed with cornstarch or flour to improve its flow when mixed with liquids
  • Invert Sugar- table sugar mixed with Cream of Tartar or lemon juice
  • LactOSE is found in milk

  • Melis is fine table sugar from Scandinavia
  • Milk sugar is lactOSE
  • Molasses a byproduct of sugar
  • Muscovado sugar- is thicker and causer than brown sugar
  • Palm sugar- is the made from the sap of the date palm with the water removed
  • Piloncislo particially refined sugar from Mexico
  • Powdered sugar is table sugar only fine
  • Raw sugar is minimally processed table sugar
  • Rock sugar is large crystals of table sugar
  • SaccharOSE/ sucrOSE is table sugar pressed into squares like one cube or two cubes in your coffee, or tea
  • Sanding sugar- is table sugar in large granules
  • SucrOSE is the usual name for table sugar from cane or sugar beet
  • Tirbinado is table sugar less refined and often used in tea
  • Treacle is a byproduct of table sugar production

The GI of sugar is very high and converts into blood sugars just too quickly. We should be having COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATES as they are broken down much slower causing a slower lower peak in blood sugar levels. Have an apple, not apple juice, as apple is a complex carbohydrate while apple juice has been refined going straight into the blood system causing an instant peak.

Then we find refined foods consisting of white flour. White flour is nothing more than finely grounded wheat, water added, separated, dried and additives added to claim it is better than normal flour. What is normal flour these days?

In days gone by we ate unprocessed foods, out of our own garden, and rarely purchased junk food. Today it is much different where food purchased, is often refined, and laced with sugars and salt.

The diabetic epidemic is manmade, fifty years ago McDonalds wasn't around, 50 years ago we walked to a lot of places, and 50 years ago we made our own food.

Do We Want To Go Back 50 Years, Well Yes, If We Want To Reverse Diabetes?

It is your decision to continue as a diabetic or become a non insulin non medicine, non diabetic, healthy person

NO MORE SUGAR, NO MORE REFINED CARBOHYDRATES

Watch the pounds fall off, as you plan your new wardrobe.

YOU CAN DO IT
