Decorate Your Harvest Altar With Canned Goods at Your Perfect Fall Wedding Ceremony

103 9
If you're a serious food person, serious enough to make jams and marmalades, or serious enough to can summer's bounty, you may have a great way to decorate your wedding altar.
There is nothing more beautiful that canned goods.
Sunlight filtering through peach jam is as beautiful a sight as you ever will see! Why not fill your altar with this bounty? Jars of fruits and jam, candles to make them glow and some gorgeous autumn flowers will make a beautiful altar.
This altar will proclaim your dedication to good food and home-prepared food.
Then consider giving away small jars of home-made jam as your favors.
If your jams come from family recipes, make a small recipe book and attach that (get people working on their own food habits!) to the jars.
Serve the jam with warm bread at the wedding.
Yum.
If food is an important piece of your life, consider making it a part of your wedding.
The more you can let people know who you are and what the two of you are passionate about together, the more your community can support and celebrate your relationship.
In the long run, good food and good community will do a lot to sustain your relationship.
And of course if you make good food, it's easy to have great relationship! Everyone's going to want to hang out with you because you'll be cooking.
The more customs you start as a family within a community, the more likely you are to stay in marriage! Who knew that your strawberry jam or your grapefruit marmalade could not only add to your wedding, but also enhance your breakfast table for the rest of your life together - which will be the rest of your lives!
