    Frog Party Invitations

    • Unless the frog party is themed around Disney's "The Princess and the Frog," it may be difficult to find frog invitations in stores. Homemade solutions include cutting out green circles in the shape of lily pads and writing the invitation on those or using frog pictures on an invitation that you print at home. Make sure to include some funny wording on the invitation such as "hoppy birthday," "toad-ally" or "hop on over" to get guests in the spirit for the party.

    Frog Decorations

    • If the party is happening at your home, draw large lily pads up the front walk in green chalk so guests can hop from one lily pad to the next as they come into the party. Once inside, include lots of green streamers and let guests help decorate by drawing frog faces on green balloons and then blowing them up into exaggerated funny faces. You can also hide lots of small toy frogs throughout the party area to surprise guests around every corner.

    Frog Crafts

    • Provide children with supplies to make toy frogs out of green construction paper or craft foam with a red or pink party blower that unrolls like a frog's tongue. Other craft ideas include making frog puppets out of construction paper and brown paper bags, or making frog magnets with green craft pom-poms and pipe cleaners.

    Frog Party Games

    • Many classic birthday party games can be adapted for a frog party. For example, instead of playing musical chairs, scatter paper lily pads around the floor and have children hop around when the music is playing and find a lily pad to stand on when it stops. You can also play "Frog, Frog, Tadpole" instead of "Duck Duck Goose" or "Pin the Frog on the Lily Pad" instead of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey."

    Frog Cake

    • Frog cupcakes include features such as green gumdrops as eye sockets, mini marshmallows with chocolate chips as the eyes, and a long strip of pink sour gummy tape as the tongue. For a frog-themed sheet cake, use blue frosting to make a pond and include a few frog cupcakes on lily pads or a log.
