The river gets frozen in winters and provides opportunities for skiing. During summers the river is perfect for river rafting. All the treks can be either short or long, depending upon your personal choice and the package you choose but everything offers an enchanting panoramic view of the entire place. The best time to undertake this trek is between December end to mid- February.

Another famous Himalayan valley known for trekking tours is the Nubra valley. Nubra Valley or the 'Valley of Flowers' lies in the north of Leh with plenty of Bactarian (double-humped) Camels and ancient monasteries. Accessible from the world's highest motorable road - Khardong La Pass - the Nubra Valley used to be an ancient Silk Route for traders of north. The entire valley is named after the popular Nubra River, which flows across the eastern part of the Karakoram Range.
