Sinus Congestion Natural Remedies
And that makes sense.
There's more air pollution, more toxins in the food we eat, and more electromagnetic pollution.
I don't think this will change.
I think we'll be bombarded with more and more toxins.
If you are like us you've had sinus infections because you just couldn't get your sinus congestion under control.
They are awful.
That might even be an understatement.
So we've spent years collecting the best of natural remedies for sinus congestion, sinus drainage, and sinus infection.
And we're going to share them with you.
These are inexpensive home remedies that will help you prevent any sinus congestion symptoms from starting.
But first, if you have a sinus problem going on, here are things you can do right away: --Increase the pure water you drink to at least 12 cups per day.
This doesn't count teas, juices, sodas, etc.
Water is what will help decrease the thickness of the sinus drainage, thus making it easier to leave your body --Cut out all sugar.
Bacteria and Virus love sugar and multiply rapidly when they are present.
(And don't go to the diet drinks-they're even worse).
--Get some steam into the air inside the house.
Fill a 5 quart pan a little over half full with distilled or purified water, turn the heat on pretty high until it starts to simmer, cut heat back (it should be steaming), turn on a timer for 30 minutes.
When the timer goes off turn the heat off.
You can repeat this several times during the day.
Or if you have a humidifier put that on for several hours.
Have you ever heard the saying "A little prevention is worth an ounce of cure"? It really is quite true.
Here are a couple of tricks we have found that help us remove the sinus congestion before it can begin to attract bacteria.
HOT WATER Every morning (or evening) when you take your shower, breathe the stream deeply into your sinuses.
Cup the water in your hands and breath it in through your nostrils, washing the sinuses out.
You can also gently press on the sinus pockets and blows out any mucus.
This has worked for us to prevent many sinus congestion problems from occurring and I'm sure it can work for you too.
HOT STEAM Another thing that works for some is to bring a small pot of distilled or purified water to streaming.
Remove from stove.
Place a towel over your head and breathe in the steam over the pot.
Be careful not to burn your face doing this.
We hope you will give any or all of these ideas a try.
Hopefully they will work for you as well as they have worked for us.
We know you just want to be rid of that pesky sinus congestion forever.
