If not, this is something you should most definitely do. The consequences that some children have to face because they do not understand how to be responsible are quite traumatic for most of them. You might want to do laundry with your kids, showing them what needs to be done. Most kids will not have too much of a problem with this, especially if you explain why this chore needs to be done. Most children are very good with computers - some of them even have smartphones! Operating washers and dryers is nothing compared to that and they'll no problems. Using a little creative visualization, you can envision your children handling this conversation with them in a positive way.rnrnIt is quite common for adults to not be on top of their game, and be completely unaware that their children are not on task doing what they are supposed to. Perhaps you have heard the saying that mothers have "eyes in the back of their heads". All of us have experienced having our moms know something they shouldn't - this is the psychic or intuitive ability we are referencing. It is very common for mothers to know if their children are doing their homework, or if it actually has been started at all. Whether you are referencing a mom, or a dad, checking on your kids is something that every parent will do, just to make sure they are doing what they need to be doing. If taken to a higher level, this type of surveillance can feel almost prison-like. Therefore, use your good judgment when parenting your kids and using the strategy. Every situation with parenting is different, so you need to remember tips for parenting are mainly general and not detailed. With so many possibilities, there is no way that all of them can be talked about. You'll learn as you go if you're a new parent and will be able to discern what's best for you and your children.
