Baking Soda

• Clean and deodorize your carpet with ordinary baking soda. Sprinkle a liberal amount of baking soda over the entire surface of your carpet and leave sit, preferably overnight. Vacuum the next morning and the baking soda should absorb the smells.
  
  

White Vinegar

• Pour distilled white vinegar into shallow or low bowls and place multiple bowls around the room, setting the bowls as close to the carpet as possible. Leave the bowls sit out overnight, to remove the carpet smells.
  
  

Spot Treat

• Spot treat accidents and problems as soon as they happen, rather than leaving the problem to fester and worsen. Mix together equal parts white vinegar and cool water in a spray bottle. Spray any affected areas of your carpet as soon as possible and vacuum when dry.
