Lets see... most of us, "YES" most of us who have gotten to the young age of 40, believe, that we can still do everything that we used to do when we were twenty years younger. Our mind is telling you yes you can still do that...! {Piece of cake} your body has other ideas; you've been there haven't you, I know I have; and quite recently this is called {being human}

This thought process is mostly shared by us middle-aged generation, between the ages of, 40 to 60 years old. A friend of mine being of slim build, and maintained a body weight of, 9&half stone, Never gave his weight a second thought, he never had to he was always slim, very active and quite fit; until he reached the ripe old age of 40,

Then because of his Job, his life's circumstances and, the slower pace of lifestyle that he was fitting into, and of course, stopping smoking; over the next several years he just put weight on, But not over night; this happened to him so gradually; un-noticed over several years.

Very slowly and very steadily, Every time he looked in the mirror he looked O K to himself. So for a couple of years in his mind there was nothing wrong with his weight or his health and appearance, he was happy with himself. Then suddenly he was 13 stone, and like a barrel.

The truth is, it was not all of a sudden what happened was all of a sudden he noticed just how much weight he had gained. Over time... not over night?
Gaining weight is a slow and steady process that you really don't see until it slaps you in the face, like it did my friend!

Only then do you panic and decide to take drastic action. "Stop"! It's already too late... your weight has crept up on you without you noticing. So, the best plan of action for you is, to turn the table, and creep up on your weight. {Seems fair to me}

There is only one real answer to losing weight correctly; Burn More Calories than You Eat and you only need the simplest of exercises to maintain your weight; keeping it off forever, be sure to keep your exercise to regular intervals to maintain a healthy heart. I know it sounds so simple.

But, the excess weight that many people are carrying now was gained when they did not run round all day. And their body has become accustomed to the daily routine that does not include any exercise;

So by doing some extra exercise like Walking a LITTLE every day will make a BIG difference to your health and wellness; and at the same time will exercise you heart without overdoing it, as some more strenuous exercises sometimes can.

Now; the exercise that will help you dramatically, without extreme effort on your part; without any specialised equipment, or any expensive kit to buy, is; Walking! Yes; I know... it's so simple it's silly...? But it is true! All you need to supply is the effort, and the enthusiasm. As with any new health venture.

"ALWAYS" consult your Doctor first! Tell him what you intend to do, and he will advise you accordingly. Be sure to act on his advice, Stay well; and stay safe.
