    • 1). Purchase a box that is big enough to fit your body. You can either use an old box at home or buy one at a local store. Cut the lower part of the box if it extends beyond your knee. The box should cover only half of your thigh. For your arms, cut holes on both sides of the box and make a hole on top of the box where your head will be. For your own comfort and safety, your head will be outside the box, and your body will be inside the box.

    • 2). Draw an outline of Spongebob's face on the box. You can copy his face from a coloring book or any printable picture of Spongebob from the Internet. Draw his big eyes, tiny nose, big mouth, two front teeth and tongue proportionate to the size of the box. Remember that two-thirds of the box should make up Spongebob's face and one-third of it will be divided into Spongebob's shirt and shorts.

    • 3). Outline your drawing, using a black felt-tip pen. Trace the eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, shirt, tie and shorts with the black felt-tip pen. Paint the whole body with yellow, acrylic paint. Acrylic paints dry faster than ordinary paint or watercolor. Use brown acrylic paint for the shorts, white for the shirt and red for the tie. You may use white felt paper for the eyes and teeth, black for the iris, blue for the pupil and red for the tongue. Fill in the rest of the mouth with black marker.

    • 4). Don a yellow, long-sleeved turtleneck and a pair of white, knee-high socks or tights. For the shoes, you can wear either black or brown. Slip the box over your body. You may also wear a yellow cap or ponytail to complete the look. For accessories, you can carry around a fishing net.
