How to Install an American Standard Baby Devoro Toilet
- 1). Clean off the area around the toilet flange with the bathroom cleaner and rags. Insert the flange bolts, threads pointing upward, into the flange. Secure the nuts in place with the plastic tabs.
- 2). Place a towel on the floor. Turn the base of the Baby Devoro toilet over. Press the wax ring into place on the underside of the toilet.
- 3). Turn the Baby Devoro right side up. Position it over the flange so that the inlet on the base of the toilet lines up with the flange opening. At the same time, the flange bolts should be aligned with the holes in the base of the toilet. Slowly lower the toilet bowl into position. Press firmly on the bowl when placed to help compress the wax seal.
- 4). Insert the plastic and metal washers around the threads. Tighten the nuts on the top of the flange bolts hand tight. Turn each side an additional few turns, one side at a time, with the wrench.
- 5). Place the bowl on the back of the toilet. The outlet in the bottom of the tank should line up with the inlet on the back of the bowl. Insert the two bolts through the bottom of the toilet and into the bottom of the tank. Tighten the nuts in place from underneath.
- 6). Wrap the threads on the water supply valve on the wall and the inlet on the base of the toilet with plumber's tape. Connect one end of the water supply hose to the water supply valve and connect the other end to the inlet on the underside of the tank.
- 7). Turn on the water supply valve by rotating the knob at the end counterclockwise. Allow the toilet to fill. Flush the toilet and check that it works properly. Tighten any bolts, if needed.
- 8). Saw off the portion of the flange bolts protruding over the nut with the hacksaw. Press the bolt caps into place.
