Would you like to melt away excess fat within a very short period of time? If you answered yes, then you really need to read this article.
Weight Loss can come from two sources - water loss or fat loss.
On most programs, fast weight loss is achieved through some sort of detoxification process that promotes the release of water and harmful toxins that may have been retained by your body.
This is a way of cleansing your system, allowing your body to effectively absorb the nutrients from the food that you consume.
Definitely a process that has value - but not one that can be sustained over the long-term in helping us to lose our major weight enemy - Fat.
Losing fat is definitely a bit more difficult than losing water.
In order to get effective fat loss, your metabolic rate has to be increased to a sufficient level that it will effectively burn off body fat.
This increased metabolic rate can be achieved in two ways.
One way is through the foods that you eat.
There are certain foods that have been proven to effectively burn fat.
Foods like Lean Proteins, Oatmeal, Cinnamon, and what I like to call Super Fruits and Vegetables (e.
g.
grapefruit, watermelon, and cauliflower) are all diet essentials if you really to melt off fat forever.
So take a look at your daily diet - what are you really eating? Is your diet made up mostly of processed, canned or refined foods? If so, then simply switching the foods that you currently eat could be a big factor in increasing your fat loss efforts.
The second way to burn fat is, of course, through exercise.
But there is a right way to exercise and a wrong way to exercise.
Most people believe that a very high level of cardio is what will burn fat.
However, research has shown that what really burns fat is an extended period of medium intensity cardio that puts you into the "fat burning" zone.
Once in a while, you can speed up this fat burning process by engaging in High Intensity Interval Training sessions that essentially confuses the body and prevents it from settling into a steady state.
Resistance Training should also form part of any fat loss program.
Resistance training helps build lean muscle which in turn helps to burn off fat.
Muscle is the most active tissue in the human body with an estimated daily caloric requirement of 50 to 100 calories per pound of muscle.
That means any additional muscle that you build will force you to burn off an extra 50 - 100 calories per pound.
So do you want to lose weight? Or do you want to lose fat?My guess is that you want to melt your fat away.
If so, make sure to incorporate fat blasting foods as well as medium intensity cardio and resistance training to your daily activity.
