Just as we like our bedrooms to be a haven of of comfort where we can relax and unwind from a busy and often stressful day, we want our children to enjoy their bedrooms as well. However, a child's room should not only be geared towards relaxation but should also be a fun place to be whether your child is young or a teenager.

There are several great ways to make your child's room fun. For an elementary child start with bright colored walls to attract their attention. If possible let them choose their colors they want. Once the room is painted you can then choose the right furniture and accessories to make the bedroom come alive.

A bunk bed with an attached plan tent is always a cool idea for making your child's room fun. The tent gives them a place to have all kinds of imaginary adventures or even invite a friend over for an afternoon of play and story telling. Don't be too surprised though if you child would rather "camp out" in the tent than sleep in the top bunk. You can also purchase a bed with both the play tent and a tower and slide. This will turn your child's bedroom into an indoor play room great for keeping them occupied on a rainy or extremely blustery day when playing outside may not be such a good idea.

If the room is large enough you might want to include a table and a couple of chairs for your child to use when doing artwork or playing with puzzles or games. You might also want to include one of indoor/outdoor area rugs there are many to choose from that have a hop scotch board or a road for playing cars right on the surface.

Also don't forget to include a bed buddy hung above the top bunk with a few books in it when your child feels like reading.

Teenagers of course are not going to want tents and play tables. You can however create a fun room for them by using a Stompa bed. These beds feature love seat size seating space for entertaining friends, reading or playing those video games and then can turn into an additional bed when guests come to spend the night. A few poster, a good music system, and a computer complete with a DVD player and Video games and Your teenager will have everything they need to really enjoy their bedroom. In fact, you may be lucky if you see that for dinner!
