How to Unlock Bedroom Door Locks
- 1). Look at the bedroom door handle to see if it has a little hole sitting in the dead center of it. If you see a hole, take a paper clip and extend it out into a straight pin. Stick it into the hole and feel around until you hit the lock button. Push with steady pressure until the lock pops open.
- 2). Use a credit card to bypass the lock on the handle. Slip your credit card in between the door and the door frame about two inches above the handle. Slowly slide the card downwards while simultaneously pushing it further into the crack. Once you reach the level of the handle, work the card into the crack and try to use the card to push in the metal bolt that keeps the door closed. On a bedroom door, the lock moves with the bolt once the card slips it open.
- 3). Remove the doorstop, whic is the metal piece attached to the door frame where the lock bolt slides in. Slip a screwdriver under the metal, and gently hit it with a hammer as you pull it away from the frame. You must replace the doorstop when you're finished.
