DIY Christmas Light Orbs
- 1). Turn the screws on a round glass light fixture counterclockwise and remove them from the fixture. Depending on the brand and size of fixture, there are two to four screws on a globe. These fixtures are the type that mount flush to the ceiling and are round on the bottom portion that covers the light bulbs.
- 2). Hold the light fixture upside down in one hand and support it on your lap.
- 3). Fold both ends of a 50-light strand of Christmas mini-lights together. Place the center of the strand in the opening of the light fixture. Continue pushing the Christmas lights into the fixture until there is about 6 inches of both ends on the outside of the fixture.
- 4). Make additional Christmas light orbs following Steps 1 through 3.
- 5). Place the light orbs, round side up, outside in a flower bed or next to a sidewalk. Pull out additional portions of the light strands to space out the orbs. Connect the plug on the farthest light orb from your power supply to the next one closest to the power supply. Connect all light orb lights together working toward the power supply. Plug the last light plug into an electrical receptacle.
