Hockey Fundraiser - Hockey Fundraiser Planning Guide

A map is a guide that helps you get from point A to point B.
You'd never think about driving from Connecticut to California without some type of guide to help you.
Chances are, you'd get lost somewhere along the way.
Even driving to an appointment in your own town necessitates some kind of guide if you've never been there before.
Think of the Hockey Fundraiser Planning Guide as your map to making your next fundraising event a success.
Step 1: What is the beginning and end date? Once you decide when you are going to start and finish your fundraiser, you need to decide if you are going to extend it if you haven't yet reached your goals.
Step 2: What are your goals? Anyone involved in sports knows that performance always improves once it is measured.
Without a clearly written out goal, there will be nothing to work towards and there is no form of measurement.
Step 3: Who is in charge of the hockey fundraiser? It's a good idea to form a committee to help organize and manage your fundraiser.
The committee should be made up of a group of people that work well together and can get things accomplished.
Step 4: Decide which type of fundraiser you're going to have.
Are you going to sell products? Offer services? Or have some type of special event? Step 5: Track your fundraiser from week to week.
See if you are on target with your goals and if you're not, determine what you can do to help achieve the goal.
Step 6: Promote your fundraiser.
Contact the media, develop and hand out flyers, post on community billboards, promote in company and school newsletters and get any local celebrities or politicians involved.
Step 7: Post fundraising meeting.
After the fundraiser is over, evaluate it and discuss possible ways to improve future fundraising efforts.
Question everyone involved with the fundraiser and ask for their opinions and suggestions on your next fundraiser.
