Herpes Treatments - Which Herpes Treatment is the Best One
The spread of herpes infection is rising all over the planets to such an extent that if it was not already called a public health issue, then now it definitely should be.
And with the capitalist companies bombarding the market, a lot of people ask themselves a very important question, namely: Which Herpes Treatment Is The Best One? This article will try to answer that exact question.
There are several ways to combat herpes.
Some treatments try to prevent the outbreaks from appearing, such as lysine or different herbal treatments.
Others try to fight the virus as soon as outbreaks start showing up, such as different antiviral drugs and topical solutions.
We'll try to go over the most important of these.
As a last nugget of advice I'd like to say: Try them all for yourself.
Everyone is different and will therefore react differently.
The smartest thing you can do is to try them all and see which fits you the best.

We'll try to go over the most important of these.
- Herbal treatments.
I wanted to take this one first, because I've seen a lot being written about herbal treatments online.
The reason I don't like herbal treatments is that they usually don't have any scientific studies behind them, but rather just guesses and marketing.
You can still try them out, but I strongly recommend you do your research beforehand because there is a lot of garbage out there in this segment of the market. - Lysine.
Lysine is an amino acid that has been said to decrease the recurrence of outbreaks.
Experimental studies have shown some evidence to back this up.
In order to get good results with this method, you need to eat at least one gram of lysine per day and restrict your intake of another amino acid, arganine, since it counter works lysine.
You can either get this extra lysine through your regular diet or through a supplement. - Antiviral Drugs.
There are several different antiviral drugs on the market which all have similar side-effects and uses.
The biggest contenders are Acyclovir, Famivir and Valacyclovir.
The main difference between them is the dosage needed for the right effect and of course the price.
These drugs are very effective, but can have some unwanted side-effects like nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting and potentially cancer.
These are usually administered through pills.
- Topical solutions.
The topical solutions are applied directly on top of the outbreaks and kill off the virus and make the sores heal faster.
They are pretty much as effective as the antiviral drugs, but with the added benefit that the potential side-effects are only local and therefore affect only the area of application and not the whole body.
Side-effects can for example be a stinging sensation and skin-redness.
As a last nugget of advice I'd like to say: Try them all for yourself.
Everyone is different and will therefore react differently.
The smartest thing you can do is to try them all and see which fits you the best.
