Foreign Education Scholarships List

€ Critical Language Scholarship Program: This is a fully funded program offered by The United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to summer language institutes abroad for Hindi, Bangla/Bengali, Punjabi, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Russian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Arabic and Urdu. Each program is designed for 7 to 10 weeks. Candidates need to do their language course even after the scholarship period gets over and apply their language skills in their profession.

€ German Scholarship: This scholarship program is designed for students learning German language. They need to pursue their course at Dsseldorf or Justus Liebig University or Heinrich-Heine University. Candidature is decided on the basis of actual financial needs and merit.

€ Foreign Language Study Abroad Scholarship: This award is designed for students who want to do a non-English language course in the target language area/ country. Students are selected by the Department of World Languages or the like.

€ Japanese School of Detroit Endowed Scholarship: This scholarship program is meant for an EMU undergraduate student pursuing majors in Japanese. His or her GPA should be 3.0 or above. The candidate must have permission for doing the approved EMU Academic Study Abroad program in Japan. Candidature will be decided on the basis of financial needs of the student.

€ The Paul Adam Kozma Endowed Scholarship: This award is designed for junior and senior year students who have been announced majors in EMU's Language and International Trade (L.I.T.) Program. The award will be determined on the basis of student's financial needs. Though main preference will be given to those students who are doing L.I.T. in French, but students who are pursuing Spanish, German or Japanese can also benefit.
