Design

• The KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series stand mixer uses an all-steel direct drive transmission powered by a 450-watt motor for mixing large batches of thick batter and dough. A stainless steel "widemouth" bowl with handle rests atop the stand mixer base. A lift hand at the side of the mixer raises and lowers the bowl to the beater head. An attachment hub on the mixer head permits the use of optional accessories, such as the food grinder, slicer/shredder, and fruit and vegetable strainer. The KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series stand mixer is offered in eight different colors and has a suggested retail price of $419.99 as of March 2011.
