How to Make Your Own Glass Cooktop Cleaner

    Baking Soda

    • 1). Turn off the cooktop, and wait for the glass surface to completely cool off.

    • 2). Dampen the microfiber cloth with hot water, and pour 1 tsp. of baking soda onto the damp cloth.

    • 3). Rub the damp cloth gently against the glass cooktop to buff out stains and spills.

    • 4). Wet a soft cleaning cloth with warm water, and wipe down the cooktop to remove the baking soda residue.

    • 5). Rub a dry cleaning cloth on the cooktop's surface to remove the remaining moisture and to prevent water spots.

    White Vinegar

    • 1). Pour 1 cup of distilled white vinegar into a spray bottle, and saturate a soft, lint-free cleaning cloth with the vinegar.

    • 2). Rub the vinegar-saturated cloth gently against the glass cooktop to buff out stains and spills.

    • 3). Wet a soft cloth under warm, running water. Rub the cleaning cloth in a circular motion to wipe up the cleaning solution residue.

    • 4). Wipe the cooktop with a soft, lint-free cleaning cloth to dry the glass surface.
