    American Flag

    • Since American spirit and pride is often prevalent at traditional rodeos, reflect this patriotism in the bike itself. Paint the bike's body in red and white stripes and the handle bars blue with white stars to resemble the American flag. Attach red, white and blue ribbons to the handlebars so they flutter in the wind as the biker rides. Dress the rider up as a cowboy to add the finishing touch to the ensemble.

    Clown and Barrel

    • Rodeo clowns are a common fixture at rodeos. Their role is to distract the bull when the rider has been dislodged, so he can get to safety. Transform the tricycle and rider to reflect the important role of the rodeo clowns. Paint the tricycle red and then cover the sides of the tricycle using a red panel cut out of poster board. Adhere it to the sides of the bike with a slight curve in the paper so it creates a rounded effect. Layer a strip of white poster board over the center of each panel to create the striped look common on rodeo barrels. Dress the rider as a clown to complete the ensemble.

    Bull

    • Since the bull is the principle symbol and presence of a rodeo, decorate the tricycle to resemble a bull. Paint the body of the bike brown. Add white or tan spots over the brown once the paint has dried, as many bulls have different colored spots. Paint the handlebar area white or tan as well, as a bull can often have a different colored face than the rest of his coat. Fold cones out of construction paper and adhere them to the tops of the handlebars as the bull's horns. Adhere a stuffed bull to the panel between the back two wheels to further enhance the decorations.

    Cowboy and Horse

    • Paint the tricycle brown, black or gray to resemble a horse's coat. Add spots to the tricycle if desired, as horses can often have different colors in their coats. Apply a stripe of faux hair down the center pole of the tricycle that connects the handlebars to the body of the bike as the horse's mane. Adhere another strip of the faux hair to the back panel of the tricycle that connects the two wheels so it trails behind like a horse's tail. Dress the child riding the bike in a cowboy hat and ensemble.
