How to Craft Stuff in "Team Fortress 2"
- 1). Play until you have amassed a stockpile of extra weapons. You can check your equipment by choosing "Manage your items" from the main page and then selecting "Backpack."
- 2). Sort your backpack using the pull-down menu in the upper right for easier browsing. Look for duplicates and multiple items from the same classes.
- 3). Open the "Craft" menu from the item management screen. It will open a screen with three windows. The window marked 1 is your inventory, 2 is the crafting window, and 3 is the results window.
- 4). Double-click items in your inventory to place them in the crafting window. Select "Craft it!" and the items will be combined if it is a valid combination.
- 1). Combine two weapons belonging to the same class to create Scrap Metal. Combine three Scrap Metals to create a Reclaimed Metal, and three Reclaimed Metals for Refined Metals. Metal is the most basic ingredient for crafting.
- 2). Craft three weapons from the same class to create a Class Token.
- 3). Combine three weapons from the same equipment slot to create a Slot Token.
- 4). Combine one Scrap Metal with a Class Token to create a random weapon for that class. Doing this with a Slot Token gives you a weapon for that slot from a random job. Pairing both a Class and Slot Token with a Scrap Metal will give you a weapon for that class' slot.
- 5). Rebuild a token by combining it with another weapon. For instance, a Soldier Token can be changed to a Demo Token by crafting it with any Demoman weapon.
- 1). Hats can be crafted using three Refined Metals. This combination will give you one random hat from a random class.
- 2). Hats can be crafted for a specific class by adding a Class Token to the craft. However, adding a token raises the craft cost to four Refined Metals.
- 3). Two hats can be combined to create one random new hat.
