How to Make an Inmate Deposit
- 1). Access a money transfer site, such as Western Union or JPay. Select the option to send money to an inmate's trust fund.
- 2). Enter the inmate's information in the appropriate fields. You need to provide details such as the inmate's name, ID or system person number (SPN) and the facility in which he is incarcerated. The SPN number is assigned to an inmate during the intake process. The number is used to identify the inmate within the penal system. If you do not know the SPN number, contact the facility and request the number.
- 3). Enter your payment information and the amount you wish to add to the inmate's trust fund. Enter your debit or credit card information accurately in the appropriate fields.
- 4). Review the information you entered and click "Submit." If there are any errors, make the necessary corrections before submitting your payment.
- 5). Write down the confirmation number for your transaction and store it in a secure place.
