How to Make Songs on "Guitar Hero 4"
- 1). Use your guitar controller strum bar to scroll down to "Music Studio" on the game's title screen. Press the green fret button to continue.
- 2). Scroll to the bottom of the next screen to "Tutorials" to learn how to record songs. Press the green fret button. On the next screen you can select from several different tutorials. Watch all of the short instructional videos to master the game's song recording options.
- 3). Head back to the main studio page and select "GH Mix" to enter the main song editor. On this screen you will take the skills you learned in the tutorials to create songs. You can make a song that includes tracks for lead and rhythm guitar, bass, drums and keyboard.
- 4). Try the "Recording Studio" option off the main studio screen if you just want to jam. You and your band can hit some random note combinations to test the sound. If you like what you hear, record part or all or your jam session.
- 5). Publish your songs on Xbox Live if you have a subscription to the service. You will be given this option after recording a song. This will allow other players to download and play the songs you create. You can go to the "GH Tunes" option from the main studio screen to download and play your peers' songs as well. These downloads are free.
