  • 1). Remove as much of the costume piece as possible.

  • 2). Dab some of the remover or acetone on to a cotton ball.

  • 3). Rub the cotton ball on any remaining adhesive until it comes away from the skin. If any pieces of the costume itself remain attached to the skin, rub the damp cotton ball around the edges of the piece until it comes loose and remove the piece.

  • 4). Re-wet the cotton ball with the adhesive remover if any adhesive remains and repeat until it is no longer sticking to the skin.

  • 5). Wash the area with soap and water to remove any residue or stray adhesive.

  • 6). Apply lotion to the area to prevent the skin from drying out or becoming irritated.
