Studies show that thin people do many things to keep the weight off that overweight people do not do.
Research shows that overweight people generally don't take in any more calories than thin people.
It's just that the mix of calories is different.
For example, overweight people eat more calories from fat while thin ones eat more protein and carbs.
Worst of all, the more fat you eat the fatter you become.
That's because the body tends to store fat calories and burn carbohydrates.
Overweight people eat when they aren't hungry.
They eat for many reasons habit, boredom, stress, and emotion.
Studies show that thinner people stop eating when they are full.
They are not afraid to leave food on their plates.
Overweight people put more emphasis on food and its role in their lives than do thinner people.
Thin people are generally more physically active during the day.
They move more than overweight people do.
One study showed that overweight people sit on the average of 150 minutes more each day than thinner people.
Consequently, overweight individuals burn 350 fewer calories a day.
Thin people generally have a lifestyle that consists of healthy eating and exercise.
Even thin people who did not incorporate an exercise program into their lifestyle move much more during the day.
They don't constantly diet and cause the body to go into starvation mode and store calories as fat.
More often than not thin people exercise regularly.
Thin people also move faster than overweight people.
When walking, shopping, doing housework, gardening, or other activity, thin people move more, move more quickly and burn more calories than fatter people.
Studies show that thinner people use more movement when doing just about any activity.
Leaner people actually fidget and move even when sitting.
Research shows that thin people move without being aware of it.
And the same studies show that fatter people do every thing they can to avoid movement.
The bottom line, increase your everyday activities, don't diet, eat a healthy diet, only eat when hungry and move as often as possible and you will use more calories and lose weight.
