How to Get Urine Smell Out of Carpeting
- 1). Blot up with paper towels any urine that is still present.
- 2). Mix white vinegar and water together in equal parts.
- 3). Sponge the solution onto the affected area with a clean cloth or sponge. Don't over-saturate the area.
- 4). Blot the area again to absorb the excess moisture from the carpet.
- 5). Cover the dampened area with baking soda.
- 6). Mix 1 teaspoon of bleach-free liquid dish soap into ¼ cup of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and stir well.
- 7). Drizzle the solution over the baking soda to dampen it.
- 8). Allow the area to dry completely before vacuuming it up.
