- Many of the herbs in Zylene have the potential to cause gastrointestinal side effects like gas, diarrhea and nausea, including garcinia, green tea, pyruvate and chromium. Both chromium and garcinia sometimes cause headaches, while eleutherococcus senticosus may lead to drowsiness, anxiety and muscle spasms.
- When combined with blood thinners like warfarin, mulberry leaf and resveratol pose an increased risk for uncontrollable bleeding. Both chromium and eleutherococcus senticosus increase the possible side effects of medications processed by the liver.
