If you have to drive your Dodge Ram truck in nights then you must keep checking the headlights very frequently for assuring they are working properly. If you find that the headlights of your Dodge Ram are not working properly or burn out, you need to replace them with a fresh pair of headlights. You can replace the headlight yourself and save time and money a lot.

For it you need to follow a few easy steps and replace your old headlights:

Step 1 First of all you should engage its parking breaks and then remove keys from ignition before you attempt any repairs. You must make sure that the headlight switches have been turned to off position.

Step 2 Now you open the hood. For it, you have to pull first the interior hood, then release the lever located beneath steering wheel under the penal of instruments. Now just walk around the front of your Dodge Ram and just push up on safety catch that is located in the opening below the center of grill. Now lift the hood to secure it.

Step 3 Now if the expanding fastener is equipped, unscrew it from headlight welt. Use a screwdriver for removing all the screws that hold the headlight in place.

Step 4 Using socket wrench, remove first 2 bolts of the headlight assembly that are located inside near the grille. Then remove third bolt which is located outside bottom of headlight assembly near the fender.

Step 5 Pull the headlight assembly giving a special force to fender side. Disconnect electrical connectors and pull it straight out of the base of bulb housing. Now replace it with a new pair of headlights and install the headlights, reconnect electrical connectors then place it back into dodge ram headlights housing.

Now as you turn your Dodge ram on you must make sure the headlights are now working.
