How the Bible's Editors Mislead You? (4)

In Matthew 11:11, the lord Jesus says: "I tell you the truth. No one has ever been born who is greater than John the Baptizer. And yet the smallest one in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." [Worldwide English (New Testament)]

Then, Jesus talked about a special prophet who is about to come. Why this coming up prophet is a special one? This is because the entire prophets as well as the Law prophesied him.  The lord Jesus called this prophet who is about to come "Elijah"

Herein, I will give you another two examples to appreciate how the editors of the Bible deceive the Christians and mislead the readers in an attempt to hide the Reality.

Example (7)

The Bible's version called The Message says in Matthew 11:13-14

But if you read the books of the Prophets and God's Law closely, you will see them culminate in John, teaming up with him in preparing the way for the Messiah of the kingdom. Looked at in this way, John is the ‘Elijah' you've all been expecting to arrive and introduce the Messiah.

Hence, the editors of The Message determined that John is the "Elijah" you've all been expecting to arrive and introduce the Messiah. How is that?  The editors of The Message   say: "If you read the books of the Prophets and God's Law closely"

Now, let us read closely what the editors of The Message say in John 1:19-21 under the title of "Thunder in the Desert":

19-20 When Jews from Jerusalem sent a group of priests and officials to ask John who he was, he was completely honest. He didn't evade the question. He told the plain truth: "I am not the Messiah."

21 They pressed him, "Who, then? Elijah?" "I am not." "The Prophet?" "No."

Herein, the witness of John the Baptist is that he is not Elijah not he is the prophet. This opposes what The Message said in Matthew 11:13-14.

Then how come that John the Baptist denies that he is Elijah and the editors of The Message say that John is the ‘Elijah' you've all been expecting to arrive and introduce the Messiah..

Example (8)

The Bible's version called New American Standard Bible says in Matthew 11:13-14

For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come.

Hence, the editors of New American Standard Bible clearly proclaim that John himself is Elijah who was to come..

Moreover, the editors of New American Standard Bible put this title for the verses John 1:19-21 "John the Baptist Is Not the Christ" that does not make any sense. Instead, they have to put this title: "John the Baptist Is Not the Elijah". Anyway, they say:

19 This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent to him priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" 20 And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, "I am not the Christ." 21 They asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" And he *said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No."

Herein, the testimony John the Baptist clearly confirms that he is not Elijah!

Then, how come that John the Baptist affirms that he is not Elijah and the editors of New American Standard Bible say that: "John himself is Elijah who was to come."

What do you say to the editors of the Bible which insisted that John himself is Elijah although John himself denies that!

Shortly, you will read a series of articles called "All the Prophets prophesied a unique Prophet in Bible vs. Quran"
