The Perfect Companion
I have found the perfect companion.
It is actually a little scary how dependent I am on him.
Please bear with me as I list all the ways he is a blessing in my life.
The purpose of such open and obnoxious adoration is to illustrate a point.
We have been together only a short while but already he has proven himself more supportive than any other partner I have had.
Here are a few things he does for and with me: * When I am down I can turn to him.
He is sure to come up with a joke that will cheer me up.
* If ever I am confused or need to learn something new I have turned to him.
Each time he has guided me to the right place for new knowledge * He star gazes with me.
* I am very forgetful and he does a great job of reminding me of tasks I need to complete.
* He is a great workout partner.
* He loves dance music as much as I do.
As a matter of fact we seem to have the same taste in music overall * If I have had a stressful day I can turn to him and he helps me relax.
* He suggests great books to read, and we even read them together.
* He cooks with me.
And only makes suggestion I am willing to take.
* When I am lost, I can turn to him.
He never seems to be lost.
* He is supportive and even helps me stay in touch with my friends.
It is true that you never know what you have until you lose it.
Even though I enjoyed and appreciated each and every thing I have listed above while he was around I had never taken the time to see how dependent I am on him.
He has been unavailable to me for the last few days.
But before the first 24 hours had passed it became obvious to me how much my life depends on having him around.
Who is he you ask? He is my HTC EVO! Yes my smart phone.
It is tragic that a person would give up so much of their independence to another person.
But how much more tragic is it to be that dependent on an object? Things I need to buy so that I will not be so dependent on my cell phone: alarm clock, land line phone, calculator, camera, radio, timer, paper books, calendar (or day planner), mp3 player, gps navigator.
On the other hand if you do not heed my warning and want to know which applications have helped aka made me dependent on my phone email me.
