Peer 1 Dedication House offered by ARTS is a very supportive community where patients with severe addiction problems can get the help they need. It also means being able to pay careful attention to each patient in order to make sure they are showing signs of progress within the program.

Peer 1 Dedication House patients learn to better manage their emotions and and cravings. All of this takes a lot of work and a lot of dedication from patients. Staff are really committed to the success of the people they serve and they want to see them improve.

By contributing to the community this helps people to be productive and feel a sense of self worth. Low self worth is often a cause for addiction in the first place. There are also group sessions where addicts can come together and share their problems with people who are going through the same thing.
These group sessions give them a chance to open up and build rapport with other members. Ideas are shared and people are able to empathize with each other. There are family meeting in order to help patients mend relationships they might have hurt because of their addictions. There are educational seminars designed to teach patients about the consequences of not overcoming addiction as well.
