    • 1). Download a template for the place cards to your computer. Martha Stewart Weddings has templates available, as does the Microsoft Office website.

    • 2). Print the template on the card stock paper.

    • 3). Cut along the lines using your scissors.

    • 4). Bend at the paper fold creating a tent. Run a bone folder over the fold to make an even crease.

    • 5). Download a name template such as the one from Martha Stewart Weddings. Using your computer, fill in each guest's name in the space provided.

    • 6). Print the name template on vellum paper.

    • 7). Cut the name squares out along the lines provided on the template.

    • 8). Place the vellum name square on top of the folded paper tent.

    • 9). Punch two holes in the top piercing both sheets of paper completely. The paper will indicate where to punch the holes.

Cut a piece of ribbon approximately 2 inches in length.

    • 11

Place both ends of ribbon through the holes to the back of the card. If you look at the front of the card now you will just see the ribbon woven through the card.

Flip the card to the back, or the side without the name, and string each strand of the ribbon through the opposite hole toward the front of the card with the name.

    • 13

Tighten the ribbon by pulling on each ribbon end to secure. The ribbon ends will be hanging loose in front of the card. Trim the ribbon ends at an angle to prevent fraying if necessary.
