Our summer holiday is one of the most important events of the year, at least we think it is.
This is way we plan extensively, sometimes weeks or even months ahead in order to make everything by the book.
But on the day of our departure we seem to be as nervous as if we were taking an exam.
And all the suspense and cutting edge nerves culminate at the airport.
Besides the fact that we have to make sure that our means of transportation doesn't breakdown in traffic or that we don't get stuck in a traffic jam we have other things to worry about.
The first thing that you should do before heading to the airport is to check is you have your tickets and passports with you.
Also make sure that you have some distinctive marks on your luggage and also that you have all of them with you.
You wouldn't want to reach your destination and realize that you are missing something, right? Once you reach the airport you should go directly to the enunciator panel to see at what time does your plane take off, if there are some delays and of course, when is the check-in and the boarding.
As of recently some airlines have decided to have online check-ins.
This means that you can check-in one day before departure and you will have one less queue to sit at.
Arriving at the airport a bit sooner is advisable because you have time to make sure that everything is in order.
But while it is good to come sooner you will face having to sit and wait for your boarding announcement.
In the mean while you can either have a coffee or call one of your friends in order to pass time.
When your flight has been announced then make sure that you are at the boarding gate.
There are usually some minutes left before you get on the bus which will take you to the plane so this is the time use the toilet to freshen up a little bit.
Once you are on the plane you can breathe relaxed because your vacation has just started
