Visiting Uspallata in The Area

Our acquaintances at the have commended us to visit Uspallata, in the Department of Las Heras in the province of The Area. This city is about 2000 m above sea level and is the provincial center for all those who love pleasure trips in the mountains. Uspallata is in a valley between the mounts and piedmont of the Andes. For this reason, it is usually the point mount climbers who aim to climb one of the most iconic mounts of The Area go, the Aconcagua, or Overo volcano. It was at this one localization where the film "Seven Years in Tibet" was filmed, leading Brad Pitt, and set in the Himalayas.

From here, a few miles, it is possible to access the Cristo Redentor iternational passage, situated almost 3200 meters above sea level, and is one of the main roads between Argentina and Chile.

In the small town of Las Cuevas, you can find a beautiful settlement with small houses constructed in Nordic and Scandinavian style, made of tmiber and rock. In the River Caves, you may practice rafting and kayaking. Here also lies the international rail corridor that links Argentina with Chile. In the area holidaymakers can visit the glacier of the Lame Man and practise trekking and rappelling. This is definitely one of the most captivating alternatives of tourism in The Area for outdoor sports devotees and for those who enjoy mountain activities.
