U. K. Pilot Sees Mile Long UFO

UFOs come in all sizes from small orbs to giant discs. One of the largest ever reported was seen off the coast of Alderney in April, 2007. The mile long object was reported by two pilots on separate flights over the coast. Air traffic control from Jersey did not pick up the object, but did receive reports of the object from other pilots flying in the same general area.
Veteran pilot, Captain Ray Bowyer, flying out of Southampton, spotted the object first.

At about 10 miles west of Alderney, and 30 miles from the coast, he was flying at 4,000 feet altitude. He made this statement to the press:

"It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area. It was 2,000 feet up and stationary. I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realized it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it was the size of a 737."

As he later realized how far away he was from the object, he knew then that the object was much larger than he first thought.

"It could have been as much as a mile wide," he said.

As he continued his flight toward Alderney, he saw a second object, identical to the first, except smaller. Bowyer, unlike most pilots, made a full report, relating details to air traffic control, and filling out an incident report. He later appeared on radio and television interviews as the details of the case became public knowledge. He would state publicly that the sighting had been a frightening experience.

"I'm certainly not saying that it was something of another world.

All I'm saying is that I have never seen anything like it before in all my years of flying." The British Ministry of Defence, who officially only investigate UFO reports which constitute a threat to national security are digging into the case, officials have stated.
