Each year the number of guests chartering yachts and sailboats in Croatia is growing, thus making yacht charter one of the most popular vacation options for thousands of guests in the summer. As the number of people chartering a yacht in Croatia grows, the competition between charter providers grows simultaneously. Due to the growth of the number of guests, the charter offer and the offer of services that accompany the yacht charter business have improved as well.

I would recommend leaving your car at home when traveling for your charter vacation in Croatia. A long drive from your home to the marina where you will board the yacht can be very exhausting, especially on a hot summer day. Once you have arrived to the marina you still have to do the yacht check-in, and than groceries shopping, which requires you to be concentrated, this could make the first day of your vacation pretty hectic. If you still decide to travel to Croatia with your own car, you have the parking fee to add to your expenses, depending on how long you will be cruising for -seven or fourteen days. Traveling to Croatia by airplane or train is a better idea, and once you arrive to Croatia, you can take a taxi transfer from the airport or the train station to the marina. Now you can book and pay for your transfer to and from the marina in advance with Jam Transfer. Not only will you not have to worry about it, but also you will know in advance how much the transfer will cost you so you can plan your expenses.

After you arrive at the marina where your chartered yacht is berthed, you must go through a check-in process. First of all, for most of the charter yachts there is the security deposit to be left to the charter agency. Security deposit is a fixed amount which ensures that any damage done to the yacht during the charter will be covered. The check-over of the yacht is the essential part of your check-in procedure. Together with the charter agent you will than check the entire yacht and all parts of its equipment. On the yacht inventory list which you will receive there will be all equipment parts specified. It would be wise to take detailed notes on your copy of this list. It would be advisable to note any remarks you might have on your copy of the check-in list. At the end of the check-in process ask the person with whom you did the check in to sign your copy of the check-in list. This is important because at the end of your charter vacation you're expected to do the check-out of the yacht. The person in charge of the check-out may end-up being somebody else and not the person you did the check-in with. The person with who you do the yacht check-out might point out on the scratched saloon table and inform you that the fund to cover the damage will be taken from your security deposit. In this case you will be able to show him your copy of the inventory list signed by his colleague proving that the table was damaged at the yacht take-over.

Finally, the last thing left to do before you set the sails is the shopping for your charter vacation. Do not miss out this step. The sea is unpredictable and the number of the berths in marinas is limited and you don't wish to end up on anchorage with an empty fridge. It could be pretty exhausting having to do all the shopping after a long travel to reach your embarkation marina. Especially if you have to do it by foot, under the hot Mediterranean sun. It is easy to go shopping but returning from it with all the groceries can be quite a feat. This is why you should really consider of using one of the latest charter services, introduced in the charter offer in Croatia only recently. Today you can do all the shopping online, months in advance of your charter vacation, through online provisioning catalog. Jam Yacht Supply for instance has an online catalog with a wide selection of first class products, and what is even better provide a free delivery to your chartered yacht.
