Video: How to Fertilize Potted Pansies
Video Transcript
Hello, I'm Donna Emery from Glover Nursery in West Jordan, Utah. We've just planted a bowl full of beautiful spring pansies. Now we need to fertilize them. We have many options for container plants. You can use a slow release long lasting chemical pellet like osmocote or multicote is another similar one. You can use an organic granule or you can use a liquid organic or chemical. I like to start with an organic granule. You can mix this into the soil before you put the pansies in. Or you can just sprinkle it around in between them. Make sure you water very well after you fertilize. No matter what kind of fertilizer you are using. Then every two to three weeks probably you need to augment that fertilizer with a liquid. I like organic so I would use something like fish emulsion to work. But a chemical one will work fine. Just make sure you water every time you fertilize. This is Donna Emery from Glover Nursery.
