Strengthen Your Core While Sitting Around - The Stability Ball Chair

Exercise while doing nothing - that's what everyone would love to do.
Now with the popularity of the exercise ball rising, people are finding new and inventive ways to use it to improve their body.
Their latest idea is using it as a "stability ball chair" - yup...
it's a chair, you sit on it...
it strengthens your inner core...
sounds easy, right? You're probably wondering how this works and if a stability ball chair will really benefit you...
The way the exercise ball chair works is that it forces you to be actively sitting.
Normally with a regular chair, people tend to slump or have poor posture when sitting in it.
In the end, they develop a bad habit at normal desk chairs.
On the other hand, when you're using a stability ball chair, your body has to constantly force itself to adjust to the moving ball.
In order to maintain your posture while sitting on the stability ball, your body uses its abdominals, glutes, leg muscles, and postural muscles.
People also consider the exercise ball chair as one of the best "cures" for backaches and other chronic back pain.
It helps to fix those problems due to the fact that your body has to make those constant adjustments for your upper body, which results in a good posture.
When you're using the exercise ball chair, you may find that it can be somewhat uncomfortable at first.
You need to slowly condition your body to get used to this constant workout.
Basically, you should start out slow on your first day by sitting on the chair for an hour or so...
then with every couple of days, you'll be able to tolerate it a little bit better.
You can add on maybe a half hour or more to your limit.
There's one more thing I like about having a exercise ball chair: If you ever find yourself bored at work or if you have a few minutes to take a break, you can just roll the stability ball chair over and do some exercises with it.
There are many different exercise ball exercises you can do.
One word of caution: Using a stability ball chair may not be for everyone (mainly the older generation).
Younger adults can adapt easily, but if you're part of the older crowd, you'll want to slowly adapt to the stability ball chair so that you don't cause any injuries.
