This understanding was signed so as to encourage collaboration on solutions pertaining to gas/oil exploration and ship building. As a result of the Axsys-Compass duo, an additional employment for 200 persons is most likely to be generated within the Sector V area. Also, in the coming two years, further 500-600 persons are also set to benefit from employment opportunities.
It is an encouraging aspect that the Sarda Group was the first organization that was responsible for setting up of the training facilities for people in the Jute Mills. Till date, the Sarda Group employs nearly 50,000 people and rightly looked upon as the largest employer in West Bengal. Apart from the contribution of this industrialist in the field of business, contribution in many other areas including; public affairs, events and sports were made, as well. Mr. Sarda made his views regarding the recent murder of the CEO of the Northbrook Jute Mill quite evident. As per him, dwindling orders for jute bags, minimum control and relentless interference by outsiders were a few of the reasons behind the occurrence of the incident. The role of Mr. Sarda in reviving as many as eight jute mills indeed demands appreciation.
