Unlocking the Razr

• 1). Contact Cingular. They may be willing to simply give you the unlock code. This is the easiest and safest method. If they do not, you can still unlock it yourself.
  
  
• 2). Hold # and * while turning on the phone. This will put the phone in bootloader mode. Downgrade the boot loader to version 7.D0.
  
  
• 3). Verify that it is version 7.D0. If you have it on 8.26, that will work as well.
  
  
• 4). Connect your phone via USB to your computer (a USB cable should have been included with the phone). Download and run the Moto Unlocking Software (link below). There is no installation, so simply double-click the exe. file to launch the software.
  
  
• 5). Click "Connect" and select "Yes". Your phone will act erratic and eventually reset. It will now be unlocked.
