The U.S. Department of Defense owns Shades of Green, a resort built on land leased from Disney World offering affordable rooms to active and retired military personnel only. The resort reopened in March 2004 after a $92 million renovation. A 600-space parking garage and a new restaurant were also added during the renovation.
