Hair loss home remedies have apparently worked for at least one person who obviously didn't have much of a social life to start with, there are other hair loss home remedies which are more main stream and backed by supporting research. Let's explore a few of these.

At least for me saw palmetto has shown some marginal results in halting the natural balding process. While research has yet to determine exactly how it works it is widely believed that it blocks the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is primary androgen hormone driving androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness). My experience is that after about 3 months a difference in the way your hair feels and looks will become fairly obvious. I have also found that by combining a topical formula designed to stimulate growth with saw palmetto it seems to magnify the benefits.

What you do next is take a teaspoonful of the cinnamon powder, heat up the olive oil either in the microwave or on the stove top, and then add about a cup of honey. This will form a natural paste that you apply to your scalp by way of massaging. Massage this in your scalp for about 10 to 15 minutes, then wash out with a mild shampoo.

Scalp Massage. Get yourself a good, stimulating scalp massage oil. My favorite is a natural scalp oil by Jason's Naturals. It can be found in natural food stores, or you may be able to purchase it online. This scalp massage oil helps stimulate circulation of the scalp and remove dead skin and deposits that may get in the way of healthy hair growth and the health of the follicles which actually are the gateway to
healthy growth and maintenance.

Dong Quai A Traditional Chinese herb that contains phytoestrogens that reduces the formation of DHT. Hence, Dong Quai is beleieved to stop hair loss and even regrow hair.

The important minerals to consider are copper, iron, silicon and zinc. Minerals need to be in balance with each other. Too much of one mineral in some cases can cause an imbalance in another. Make sure to get help from an informed health professional.

For example, essential fatty acids, found in spinach, nuts, soy, tuna, sardines, sunflower and rapeseed oil, important elements of the value of a system for obtaining food for healthy hair. The omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids contain anti-inflammatory properties that are useful in maintaining healthy hair. An insufficient amount of these essential fatty acids is rapid loss of hair.
