Ballpark Village is the new party place in St. Louis
St. Louis is a sports town so what better place is there for a new venue based around one of the best sports that the city has to offer?
Ballpark Village opened the $100 million first phase in spring 2014 and it is in full swing along with the baseball season. It is only about a sixth of what is expected to be built in this new destination that enables Cardinal attendees to party before, during, and after the ballgames, and attract visitors throughout the year.
Location
Ballpark Village is directly across from Busch Stadium, allowing for easy access from the game and excellent viewing from its rooftops. In fact, they feel close enough that you feel like you can reach out and touch any ball that heads into third base. The village spans seven blocks on 10 acres of land centered between 8th Street, Clark Street, Walnut, and Broadway.
Budweiser Brew House
The Budweiser Brew House was created by Anheuser-Busch, a long time figure in the city of St. Louis. The restaurant pays homage to the company’s ancestry with a German-inspired menu. You’ll also find more than 100 beers on tap from around the country and around the world.
The rooftop deck on the Budweiser Brew House allows you to see the games up close, while eating and drinking in the bar atmosphere. The deck is also used for live music.
Cardinals Nation
The Cardinals baseball team has its own section of Ballpark Village. Cardinal National includes a restaurant, the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum and a rooftop deck from which you can watch baseball games taking place in Busch Stadium.
The sports bar restaurant has patios, bars and tables with flat screen televisions throughout. The rooftop holds 600, and the museum traces the history of this successful team as well as information on the current players.
FOX Sports Midwest Live!
In the middle of Ballpark Village in St. Louis is FOX Sports Midwest Live! It’s a gathering place where sports fans can watch a 40-foot screen of current baseball games, in addition to other popular sporting events. On the second floor of this area is the actual broadcast booth for FOX Sports Midwest, where pregame and postgame shows will be live.
In addition to the screen, this area also has a stage for live performances, a VIP area, and a restaurant – all under a retractable glass roof.
Additional Venues
Other places are open within the Ballpark Village which are definitely worth checking out:
PBR Cowboy Bar-This place definitely continues the theme throughout with a large bourbon and beer menu, country music concerts, and even a mechanical bull.
Drunken Fish-A popular sushi restaurant which also has a nice selection of martinis and other cocktails.
Tengo Hombre and Tengo Sed-These two places serve Tex-Mex food and margaritas, whether you want to take them to go and watch the game in FOX Sports Live! or sit at the bar and chat with friends.
Howl at the Moon-Great cocktails and dueling pianos highlight this venue, which is open until the wee hours of the night when there are games at the stadium.
The Skybox-Watch it all from the second floor, where you can enjoy lounge seating or sit at the 75-foot bar.
Other Activities
The Ballpark Village restaurants and bars will be open all year long for concerts and activities. Some of the ideas they have already put into motion are Summer Yoga outdoors on the Busch II Infield, Movie Mondays, concerts, and World Cup events. Although guests must be 21 or over to be admitted to Ballpark Village after 9:00 pm, family events are happening earlier in the day.
