The other day, I was watching another 2008 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Flooded city and there was a boat crossing the intersection of Elm and First Street, I do not recall which city it was.
But it was so flooded that the street signs and no parking signs were barely visible, but of course, helping to mark the new city water way? As the flood and Hurricane Survivor crossed under the signal lights at the intersection, I noticed it had automatic cameras to catch those folks who ran the red light.
Well, I wonder if that boat was cross against the light and got themselves on camera? If so they will be receiving a ticket in the mail for unlawful boating and failure to stop at a signal.
I am sure the city will send the ticket, because it is going to take a lot of money to fix all that flood damage, which brings me to my next point.
If that city would have built dikes and levees properly to insure and protect against flooding, instead of putting in traffic signal cameras, then maybe that flooding would have never occurred in the first place.
Indeed, they probably spent too much on pet projects and never built a proper flood control system, allowing projects and growth to move forward without regard to the real challenges at hand to protect the people.
Well, it is surprising what you see when you look at a picture in the newspaper on online at some news site.
If people would look more closely and open their mind, they might find the solutions to the problems that plague mankind.
