(L-R) Cubby, Izzy, Jake and Skully are pirate friends who search for treasure in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Jake and his band of pirates, unlike most pirates, are polite and friendly. They are often bothered by Captain Hook and his crew, but they are able to outwit Hook and claim victory by the end of each story, and all while modeling positive social behavior for viewing children. The characters have won the hearts of preschoolers with their fun catch phrases, popping personalities, and positive attitudes.

The colorful animation and rockin' music also help to make the show a big hit with preschoolers and their parents.
