It"s Not Your Battle (5)
I know by now you would have been receiving the signals of victory in your situation.
No power can withstand the word of God when activated.
The difference between a failing and a winning Christian is just the amount of the word of God each of them assimilates and applies to their lives.
There is no magic about successfully serving God and overcoming the battles of life.
What you need is to absorb the promises, covenants and instructions of God and stay permanently in them.
When you do this, you would be automatically turning yourself into a supernatural being on earth! You will begin to flow on a high-level divine plane.
Then, tell me the enemy that will risk coming against such a Christian.
You will believe with me that Christians of our generation are not operating fully in the power of God.
Or, how do you compare the prophets of old testament and the apostles of the new testament with today's Christians? Even our today church leaders are not talking and exhibiting the power of God, simply because they don't understand it.
They don't talk about it because they don't operate on that level.
Consequently, the church is left in the cold - powerless.
There are promises, covenants God made with us in His word and these are our weapons to fight and win the battle of this life.
Look at Jesus at the battle in the wilderness.
The devil planned to defeat Him even before He could kick-off His ministry.
He won the whole battle just with the word of God and nothing else.
He will always reply Satan with what the word of God said, "The scriptures say".
(Luke 4) He effectively used what the Ephesians 6: 17 described as the "the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God".
And predictably He won that battle; emerging from it highly anointed and favored by heaven; which made the angles scrambling to minister to Him.
Back to our main text, Jehoshaphat 'reminded' God that His promises (covenants) to them covered war, disease and famine.
I don't think that there's any situation we're going through in life that will not conveniently fit into at least one of the above subtitles.
It is either the enemy is battling against your destiny and blessings, or you are struggling with diseases and sickness, or your economic life has been tampered with by Satan and his agents.
Which ever, God has promised (by covenant) to rescue you.
To wars in your life, He said, "I will fight against those that fight you.
" To sicknesses, He said, "I am your healer.
" To famine, He said, "I will bless you, it shall run over until you will become a blessing to others.
" These are just very few of His promises to you.

As you're doing these, also have at the back of your mind that His promises do not fail.
Now, let's get into the third immutable principle.
Prayer Prayer is the hub that holds the other principles of divine battle together.
It is also what fires and gives dynamism to them.
I see prayer simply as communicating with God.
This particular principle looks very simple at definition, but too vast that no individual can authoritatively claim to be a master of it.
But here, we want to simply relate it to what we've been talking about.
The phenomenal power and glory of God are released in a Christian's life when he or she learns to personalize and appropriate the promises in the word of God, by offering them back to God through prayer.
No prayer made accurately and timely on the word of God ever failed.
Maybe, you did not received any answer to your previous prayers because you prayed out of His will.
Prayer is the most dynamic force on earth.
When properly used, it does not fail.
And no power, mountain or opposition can withstand it.
Then, we also need to be upgraded to the strategic and cosmic-levels of spiritual warfare.
Our God has enormous power and is waiting for us to tap from it.
Again, look at the way king Jehoshaphat prayed, "And now see what the armies of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir are doing.
You would not let our ancestors invade those nations when Israel left Egypt, so they went around them and did not destroy them.
Now see how they reward us! For they have come to throw us out of your land, which you gave us as an inheritance.
O our God, won't you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us.
We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.
" And immediately, God replied that they should not fear, that the battle is His battle and not theirs.
He told them to go to the battle field the next day taking their positions; then stand still and watch the Lord's victory.
Promptly, the generalissimo of the universe went and laid ambush against their enemies and cleared them off.
Jehoshaphat and Judah only came to pick the spoils of war.
They were so much that it took them three whole days to finish - equipment, clothing, gold and other valuables.
And the place was named "valley of Blessing.
" This is exactly what God is going to do in your own situation.
He has taken over your battle.
You will only go to that battle field to pick blessings.
Don't fear any more.
Move forward! Put these immutable principles of battle (praise, promise, prayer) into practice today and see how victory will flood into your life.
I anxiously wait to hear your testimonies.
