Legal Aide & Funeral Arrangements
- Legal aides help elderly people organize estates, create wills and pre-arrange funerals. These tasks include assessing the fixed income of the candidate and helping to design an affordable yet adequate funeral service. Legal aides also offer various documentation books and paperwork to be filled out for the next of kin at the time of death.
- As part of the funeral planning, a legal aide will organize information regarding marriage and birth certificates, bank accounts and investments and insurance policies that will be needed at the time of death. Legal aides will also agree to be the executor of the will if the person has no other family.
- Legal aides act as a liaison between the deceased and their remaining family to ensure that a funeral service is executed as the person had planned. They also manage last-minute finances for the deceased and help pay off remaining debt from the deceased's estate.
