The presence of so much fat is simply a huge demand for oxygen that is supplied by the blood. So that therefore causes the heart to work much harder so it can provide what is required. The high blood pressure is merely due to this extra demand caused by the extra weight. In addition to the high blood pressure, the heart rate is going to be greater as well.

The predicament of morbid obesity is an overall highly negative effect on all the body's organs. There are many more similarly unsafe problems that can easily be a consequence of an obese condition.
