Since we are a part of this creation, creation comes in built in us. People create various things in their own field of specialization like engineers create technologically advanced machines, cooks create mouth watering dishes, scientists create various useful things for the human kind, housewives create beautiful pieces of knitted sweater or basket, fashion designers create beautiful clothes, etc, etc, Although some of them are considered invention, but still it is a form of creation! As the name suggests, the artists use more than one medium to create this art. Anything can be used to create this kind of art and that is why it is called mixed media art. Basically artists can use more than one medium like paint, ink, pencil etc, and also the artist can experiment with just about any material like paper, a piece of cloth, shells, flowers, dried leaves, buttons, sand, stencils, hardware, or just about anything.

One can use two or three different media to create this form of art, or they can mix further more mediums to it. As the variety of mediums increases, the more interesting the art gets. It is a very interesting section of art and kids and adults would equally love to spend time in mixed media art classes. Because there is no limitation to experimenting in this art and unlike conventional art it has no rules, it becomes easier for those individuals who are adventurous and want to venture into something different to involve in mixed media and end up creating wonderful art pieces.

 

Enrolling kids to mixed media art classes would be a good idea as at their age they are filled with curiosity and would love to experiment with various mediums.
