Dieting is important in many cases. It is the practice of ingesting food in a regulated fashion to achieve or maintain a controlled weight. In most cases dieting is used in combination with physical exercise to lose weight in those who are overweight or obese. Women form the majority of people dieting, joining a slimming club, trying the next 'quick-fix' solution to weight problems and they are the main purchasers of low-calorie and low-fat foods.

In 1967, Dr. ATW Simeons, a British–born physician, became the foundation of a weight loss program that used a medication called HCG (Human Chronic Gonadotropin), a hormone produced when a woman becomes pregnant. This hormone is secreted by the placenta cells that are responsible for nourishing the fetus once it's been fertilized. It is believed that HCG drops may assist in the removal of stored fat by liquefying the fat cell contents, utilizing it as energy and then eliminating it through the body's own process.

HCG diet was found to be effective and many users have proven its significant results. After the diet, not only will you have lost physical weight, former HCG dieters also report a change for the better in appetite, and a natural course of modified eating behavior.  They also report this as being an ideal situation for easily transitioning into a healthy relationship with food.

We hold fat in several places, some necessary others not necessary. What is wonderful about the HCG diet is that the fat that is necessary is not targeted by the hypothalamus for mobilization but the stuff that has been put there by improper eating is targeted and mobilized. With all of these changes and experiences, the HCG diet is the perfect opportunity to adopt that healthy lifestyle to maintain your weight.

People are worried about gaining back after hcg. The good news is you won't gain that fat back after using HCG weight loss. There is no reason you should, so long as you have replaced any former negative eating and inactive lifestyle habits with new, healthy perspectives on food and exercise. The biggest drawback to any diet is to not go back to eating the way you did before you lost the weight. The HCG protocol requires that you follow up the diet with 3-6 weeks of maintenance to reset your body's weight.

Most post HCG dieters find a minimum amount of daily activity is sufficient to maintaining their hCG weight loss goal. A minimum amount of exercise is recommended not only for weight maintenance, but also for the added health benefits.  Recommended activities in order to support the program include Yoga for 20 minutes, cardio vascular exercise, or any number of activities you may enjoy, that gets your heart moving.  With your hypothalamus, "reset" and your metabolism will reflect these differences you will be able to eat moderately without feeling the need to overeat.
